Lotto QR Opener guide: accepted shapes and how to use it

Every rule here is fixed in code, and the sample values below were re-run through the same rules. The sample digits are not real ticket numbers.

How to use it

Add the page to your home screen once. After that, open the app, start the camera and point it at the QR on the ticket.

If the scanned text has the shape of a lottery check code, the official page opens with no confirm screen. That page shows whether you won.

If the camera is not available, use the paste box. Paste the text you copied and it goes to the same place.

The camera turns off as soon as a code is read. While you are being sent on, the address shows on screen, and you can tap it if the jump does not happen.

Three accepted shapes

A check code is a 4-digit draw number, then m or q and a 12-digit group of numbers, up to 5 groups. Example: 1193m010203040506.

We have not yet confirmed the raw text of a real ticket. So the tool takes the bare code, the code with v= in front, and the full address form.

All three become the same official address. An address on the official host (m.dhlottery.co.kr) opens as it is, only when the host matches exactly.

A QR that is not a lottery code is shown as plain text only. Even if it looks like an address, it is not made into a link and never opened for you.

The paste box treats a sudden long jump in the text as a paste and runs the same check. If you typed it, press the open button.

Why use an app and not the phone camera

A default camera app cannot open a QR whose text is not an address. Some phones only show digits to copy.

Inside the app, the tool can read the shape and attach the official address. We cannot change what the default camera does, so you open the app.

Even when the QR holds plain text and not an address, the app first checks whether that text has the shape of a check code.

What reaches a server

Camera video and scanned text stay on your device. Ticket numbers are not saved and not sent.

Our server gets only a step name, the page language, a source label and the date. The scanned text and numbers are never included.

Once you are on the official page, that site's own policy applies.

Your browser asks for camera permission. The paste box works if you refuse, and even after you allow it the camera runs only while scanning.

What is not covered

Pension and instant lotteries are not covered because their QR format is unconfirmed. A code that does not match is treated as another QR and only shown.

The tool cannot tell whether the code is genuine or a winner. It is an unofficial link tool with no tie to the lottery operator.

If the official page changes its address or layout, the address this tool points to may stop working.

How to add it to your home screen

On iPhone, open it in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the Chrome menu and pick Install app or Add to Home screen.

When you open the installed app, the camera starts at once. It sends no notifications and never asks for notification permission.

In a browser tab the camera starts only when you press the start button. It starts by itself only in the app added to your home screen.
